Hello readers!
I know it has been a while but I am back! Another short trip. It seems that lately my trips have become small getaways. But I enjoy quick vacations too. The only problem is the “I don’t want to leave” feeling that I get when I have a great time on vacation.
Well I have been to New York City before but every time I come to the Big Apple I always have new experiences in terms of the places I visit and the restaurants I go to. There is a lot to do in New York City and that’s  why I love this city.
Today my pictures were taken at the famous restaurant Gallow Green. This rooftop bar at the top of the McKittrick Hotel offers a breath taking scenario with its earthy atmosphere. The staff are very friendly, delicious food and live music. For just $30 you can enjoy all you can eat brunch on the weekends and live music. I would recommend making a reservation. I went in the fall and the restaurant was very busy I can only imagine how busy this place might be summer time.

Ladies, here is a tip for those cool days: Wear a fitted dress under a dress when its cold.
I like to look good but being warm is my priority. Today was a mild fall day but since I am wearing a denim dress I decided to wear the black fitted dress underneath for comfort and warmth. Keep in mind the material and style of the dress you choose to wear since a lot of dresses can’t be worn with a dress underneath.
Another tip: Don’t be afraid of alterations.
If you really like something, and believe that you will wear often but perhaps it needs to be altered do so if you think will be worth it. I had to take in two sizes down in the waist of my dungaree dress but I was very with the result. A lot of times I end up altering my clothes which can be expensive sometimes. But I alter pieces that I really like and can’t find it in my size.

The Chicago Experience – Art Day (Bye Bye Chicago)

You can’t come to Chicago and leave before checking out the art that many museums in Chicago have to offer. One thing that I liked about the Art Institvte of Chicago is its massive display of art from all over the world. A lot of cool things from the Mediterranean Sea, Africa, South America, etc. are displayed here. Most of the sculptures and the art are from centuries ago.

The outstanding restaurant of the day for me was The GaGe located at Michigan Avenue. Many young professionals and entrepreneurs come to this cool spot for a great Happy Hour moment.  Don’t forget to make a reservation because this place is always packed!

Chicago was an amazing vacation. As I mentioned, I will definitely come back. Bye Bye Chicago A.K.A Windy City

The Chicago Experience – Modesty

My styles varies quiet frequently. As you guys can see, I don’t have a specific style. That’s why I decided to name my blog Zani’s Styles. Within the different styles that I like, I try to dress modest. Although it can be very tricky at times to find clothes that are modest. Today was all about food! I ate too much! I wanted to try as many restaurants as possible. I went to The Kitchen restaurant. It was delicious and view is a million dollar view.  Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak and Stone Crab restaurant I also recommend. Come with a big appetite as the portions are very generous. Amazing for sharing. A nice part of the downtown is the Millennium Park. The sculptures in the park are breathtaking. The art in Chicago is portrayed all over the city. People are very artistic. I will speak more about the art on my next project.

The Chicago Experience – Burgundy

Today was another adventurous day in Chicago. I am in love with this city and its touristic sites. I went to the Navy Pier today, such a beautiful view, thousands of people come from all over the world to visit the Ferris Wheels, the IMAX theater, and the Chicago’s Children Museum also at Navy Pier. One of the places that you can’t miss when you come to Chicago is the TRUMP Tower located right at the center of the city. The Terrance at Trump is the restaurant with one of the best views in the city The view is breathtaking and the food is amazing. You can’t go to Chicago and miss this amazing spot. My OOTD (Outfit Of The Day) was inspired by one of the colours that screams fall, burgundy. This colour has been emphasized all over fall’s fashion runways and in a lot of my favorite stores. I hope you guys enjoy the look. Run as things are still in stores!!!
