The Merilyn Denis Show

Hey fashionable people,

So I have to confess that I have been obsessed with being an audience member at talk shows. As you all already know I am all about new experiences. I am trying new things, in particular things that I can do locally. Sometimes I find myself more willing to explore while on vacation but I have decided to appreciate the things in my own backyard.

The Marilyn Denis Show is a Canadian TV talk show with Canadian and international celebrities. Tapping of the Marilyn Denis Show happens in downtown Toronto. The show airs weekdays at 10:00AM on CTV.
I had an amazing time at the show. Bellow I will provide the link of how you can obtain free tickets to the show. Yes I said free! Fun and friendly staff, the show is very informative with a variety of topics that can be beneficial for our lives.

Marilyn Denis just celebrated her 1500 episode. It is amazing to see this show progressing and becoming even better season after season.
My goal is to be a guest at the show to discuss about fashion or perhaps compete on the Battle of the Blogger segment.

Now should we talk about my outfit?
Bright colours look good on TV. When attending a TV show usually the audience manager gives you  instructions regarding the dress code. Wearing colours is not mandatory but simply a suggestion so you can look very good on TV.
I love white so I started building my outfit around this dress shirt from H&M. The sweater is from Guess. I wanted a simple but fashion forward and modest look. I finished off my look with leather pants also from H&M and topped off with my favorite pumps at the moment from Lintervalle a Canadian shoe company.

As 2017 comes to an end I think of how I have been fortunate to be able to travel to all the destinations I had planed for this year. I hope that in 2018 I will be able to travel often since travelling is something I love to do. From Portugal to Quebec and finally NYC, I am very satisfied with all the places I travelled. It seems that every time I go on vacation I come back more inspired and I learn a lot of things.
As we all know NYC is a very busy city. To catch the subway this empty is rare. I got inspired to take this photo in the subway when I noticed how empty it was. I like to be versatile with my photos and give my readers and other bloggers different ideas for posts.
I can’t come to NYC and leave without taking the boat tour to see the Statue of the Liberty and the breathtaking view of the city you can experience while on the boat. When family and friends are going to NYC, the Statue of the Liberty is always my first suggestion for the perfect sight seeing experience.

Hello Fashionistas!
Have you seen this trend? It seems that the 90s have returned in terms of the day-to-day fashion. Perhaps the 90s never left. The fashion world calls the denim jacket a trend but for me it has always been a staple.
What we are seeing more now is that the denim jacket has more personality and attitude. A lot of denim jackets have the destroyed denim style, oversized style, embellishments with pearls and patches, and my favorite; the embroidery trend. I like this idea because you can make your jacket a lot more personal. Next time I wear this jacket it will probably be “destroyed trend” or with more embellishments.
For me, Guess store can do no wrong when it comes to denim. I feel that this jacket will last me a long time. After purchasing it I took it to the Levi’s Tailor Shop to get my embroidery on the back. Personalizing an item can be addicting because I always want to add more to it. In this case I want to add more words on my jacket.
I hope you guys like this look and can be inspired to recreate this look in you own style.

Did you know that Dumbo stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass? This was something I learnt during my City Sight Seeing New York Tour.

Vignoble Le Cep d’Ardent

Vignoble Le Cep d’Ardent

A vineyard located in Magog,  approximately two and a half  hours away from downtown Quebec.
Since I don’t like to drink alcohol, I spent majority of the time taking pictures in the beautiful vineyard and appreciating the peaceful town.
This place seems to be the to go to winery in this area. My friends seemed to have a really good time. This winery is visited by locals and many tourists.
Please check out their website for more information about their wines, guided tours, packages, reception and events.

MONTREAL MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS

MUSEEE DES BEAUX-ARTS DE MONTREAL
MONTREAL MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS
1380 Sherbrooke Street West

I had another opportunity to visit Montreal this weekend, and this time I can share with you all my experience. Every time I visit a big city I like learning more about the place. One of the ways I do that is by visiting popular spots. On Friday, most of my day was spent at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
I saw spectacular exhibitions but nothing was more breathtaking to me than the Jean Paul Gaultier Love is Love exhibition displaying haute couture wedding dresses inspired by different ethnicities. How obvious that my favorite exhibition has to do with fashion! In a museum full of art fashion was my highlight. Well fashion is also another form art… If you are in downtown Montreal don’t miss this exhibition before it’s gone.

Spring Practicality

IMG_7429 I have been away from blogging for a while now. Sorry everyone I have been very busy with my work (unrelated to fashion). Most bloggers I know have created their blog a source of income.

I wish I could do that as we’ll but at this time in my life I can’t. My credit cards would be crying on me lol.
Many people are asking me “when are you doing the next post”? Even a guy asked me. This made me happy because even men are noticing my blog that is strictly tailored for women’s fashion.

My Instagram is growing so much since I have it for less than a year. Daily, I receive direct messages of people either commenting or asking me things about fashion I think this is amazing.

For ages I have been looking for long vests like the one I have on the pictures. Sorry but I don’t know exactly what they are called even after doing research I still don’t know the name so I am calling it – long vest.
I believe they were more in style last year. It was difficult for me to find this vest because sometimes I get caught on trends when they are not so trendy anymore.

I like the colour of this vest because it can be very versatile. I can wear it in the fall, spring and summer. Can be thrown over a fitted dress, jeans or anything. I incorporated this look with my old favourite white jeans from Hollister (still available). I hope you enjoy the look lets keep this spring very practical by incorporating pieces that can be worn all year round.

Just wanted to shout out everyone that has been a support in this fashion adventure. I thank you all for the comments, questions, likes and emails.
